Grades K-4
Odessa Christian Elementary boasts an active, engaging environment where instructional decisions are intentionally made to support the growth of the whole student - spiritually, academically, and socially-emotionally. These being important, formative years, OCS emphasizes academic excellence and strong spiritual formation, as well as character development. Students are challenged in a rigorous program and taught to think critically, all in a Christian environment, to prepare them for upper grades and adult life.
Each student participates in a daily chapel, a Bible class, and is instructed in moral and ethical behavior that is typical of a Christian environment. At the academic level, the subjects taught will be Math, ELAR (English, Language Arts, and Reading), Social Studies, Geography and/or History, Science, Health, Art, Music, and Physical Education.
We utilize A Beka Book Christian Reading Series, Bob Jones University Press Biblical curriculum, as well as other supplemental materials.
